Your crew on board the Sere...
Greg Lawlor. Owner/Captain
Capt. Lawlor was born and brought up in Fiji so his involvement with boats, the sea and the creatures within go back as far as his earliest memories. Like most who grew up in Fiji, the ocean formed a significant part of everyday life and with Greg every spare moment was involved with water. After a successful business career he purchased a 72' motor yacht from Sir Charles Stinson in 1981. The Mollie Dean was converted to a dedicated Liveaboard and pioneered this type of diving in Fiji, she continued as the most successful Liveaboard operation right up to her untimely loss in 1991. Unable to give up his links with the sea, Greg immediately set about planing and designing a successor to Mollie. He used the previous 10 years experience to create the ultimate private yacht/Liveaboard in the Pacific. Greg has the fortunate disposition of owning a successful business group which allows him the luxury of retaining the Sere for private use for about half of each year.
Sam Hennings. Engineer/Bosun
There's nothing you can break that he can't fix. Sam started on Mollie Dean as a cadet in 1979 and has been in the continuous service of the company from that date. He was present in the yard the day the Sere 's keel was laid up until the moment she was launched; to say that he knows every nut and bolt is an understatement. Sam hails from the island of Taveuni and is a direct descendent of one of the very first European settlers to arrive in the islands.
Ram Rattan
Ran also began his maritime career on the Mollie Dean. He started in 1984 and has been in the company's employment ever since. He serves a wide variety of healthy local and foreign dishes, if you have any special likes and it's his pleasure to serve them for you. Ram is a great fisherman and fresh fish is his speciality.
Mosese Visaka. (MO) Able Seaman/Diver
MO comes from a seafaring family and has had the experience of vessel delivery all over the Pacific. He never stops, whether its making up cabins, guiding you during a diving or serving you at meal times - Mo's your man.
